Fruit Bottling

 

 

Fruit Bottling for 2010 will be held over Australia Day Weekend (22nd - 24th Jan). It is a great opportunity to meet the new staff, have a swim in the river and of course, have a bottling good time, while we preserve fruit and make jams for the upcoming year. See below for more details.

When: Saturday 22 and Sunday 24 of January, but please feel free to arrive on the Friday evening.

What are we doing: Wollangarra uses the fruit produced on the flat and other donated fruit to make jams, chutneys and preserves for use on courses throughout the year. We'd love you to come up and help out.

Please remember to call Wollangarra to let us know if you are arriving on public transport so we have enough spaces in our cars. Just call us on (03) 5148492.

What to bring: Yourselves and fruit (see below), sleeping gear (sleeping bag or inner sheet and pillow case), some food to share.

A good idea: Contact your local green grocer or supermarket and ask if they might like to donate some fruit for Wollangarra.  We have found them to be very helpful in the past.

  • Tomatoes

  • Peaches

  • Nectarines

  • Apricots

  • Berries (any sort)

  • Apples
